Cookie policy

This page explains cookies and similar storage the VoiceChatMate site uses in your browser, why they exist, and how you can control them—including the session cookie that keeps the live interface connected.

Essential session cookie

VoiceChatMate keeps a live connection between your browser and the server. A session cookie is issued so reconnects and interactive rendering work reliably. If you block this cookie, the interactive lobby and chat rooms may fail to load or disconnect frequently.

Local storage (not a cookie)

The lobby stores a display name suggestion and ephemeral identifiers in localStorage so you do not have to retype them on every visit. You can clear site data in your browser to remove them.

Optional analytics

VoiceChatMate does not ship Google Analytics by default. If privacy-oriented or advertising scripts are added to this site in the future, this page will name each vendor and link to relevant controls where required. Until such scripts load on pages you visit, only essential cookies described above apply.

Your controls

  • Use private or incognito mode if you want a clean cookie jar per session.
  • Use browser settings to block third-party cookies if third-party embeds are present.
  • Revoke microphone or camera permission in your OS or browser settings between sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does VoiceChatMate need session cookies?

The live site uses a session cookie so the interactive interface stays connected to the server. Blocking it can prevent the lobby and chat rooms from working reliably.

Do you use third-party ad cookies?

VoiceChatMate does not ship third-party ad networks in its default configuration. If analytics or ads are added to this site, this page will list those vendors and link to their controls where required.

How do I control cookies?

Use your browser’s cookie and site-data settings. You can clear cookies for this origin at any time; you may need to reload the lobby afterward.
